QUATATION

Among books we ordered from the Christian Defense League from Louisiana, USA, there was a quotation from an American columnist, H. L. Menken about his insight regarding the problem of government which is the veritable plague of humanity:

GOVERNMENT IS ACTUALLY THE WORST FAILURE OF CIVILIZED MAN. THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A REALLY GOOD ONE AND EVEN THOSE THAT ARE MOST TOLERABLE ARE ARBITRARY, CRUEL, GRASPING AND UNINTELLIGENT.

The problem is truly insoluble: there is no form of government that does not have many shortcomings: from Nazi and Communist regimes, to democracies and socialism, there are no completely satisfactory solutions. Tell this to our politicians.

Make our politicians understand this plain truth.
